The Story of the Second Meeting
Afyonkarahisar Fatih High School hosted the 2 nd meeting of the Erasmus+ Program 'Connect,Share and Get Enlighted' from April 11th to April 14th. The meeting held in Afyonkarahisar was attended by 6 of the 7 schools- teachers and the students also- (Poland,Portugal,Bulgaria,Itay,Slovakia and Turkey) and it was the seconThe Story of the meetingd introductory meeting and reorganization of schools for the program. The events started on Monday,April 11th with a short city tour around the city and then continued with opening ceremony of the meeting at Fatih High School.Before the opening ceremony ,the lunch prepared by Fatih High School was offered for the guests.The opening ceremony began with greetings from the Head of Fatih High School Sami Solmaz .At the opening ceremony,our students presented some Turkish Folk Dances,namely; Zeybek dance and AÅŸuk and MaÅŸuk as a cultural program.The guests expressed their amazement to our students shows.After the ceremony,a school tour was given by the Head of the School and the Turkey program coordinator.

On the second day of the meeting,we went a tour to archielogical sites in Afyonkarahisar (Phyrigian Valley,Ä°hsaniye,DöÄŸer).By visiting these sights,the could see the temples,mounds,carved rocks,fairy chimmeys(called Little Capadoccia) belong to ancent times.We had a short meeting with the coordinators at a local a cafe in Ä°hsaniye.And also,we offered the Turkish coffee to our guests.Then,we visited a Kızılay mineral water factory in Gazlıgöl to show the guest the process of the mineral production.Lastly,the day finished with a small visit Afyon Park Shopping Mall.At the shopping mall,a local Turkish delight company showed our guests how the Turkish Delight produced.
On the third day of the meeting,we went a tour to Hierapolis-Pamukkale to show our guest Turkey's Natural Beauties.Before starting,to our tour we offered our guests to have a breakfast before the long day.When we arrived the Hierapolis,everybody was amazed with the naural beauty.
On the fourth day of the meeting,we talked about the project details with our partner.We planned the next next activities and exchanged information about the ongoing activities.And also,we made a perfect Skype conference with all of our partner countries schools'.This was a perfect experience both for us and our students.At the end of the meeting,we made a certiface ceremony with the attendance of our Provincial Directorate of National Education Metin Yalçın and also under the coordination of the our school's physical education teacher a Sema Whirling Ceremony was presented to our guest.
On the last day of the meeting,we went on our city tour.We introduced our guests Akarçay District which was renovated three years ago.We had a ferry tour in Akarçay river that was one of the best moments of the Turkey trip.
