The story of 3rd meeting
The 3rd meeting of Erasmus+ Project ‘Connect,Share and Get Enlighted’ was held in Crotia (30.05.-3.06.2016). Seven countries (Turkey, Portugal, Poland, Italy,Bulgaria and Slovakia) met together and joined different activities, held discussions, visited historical sights and, certainly, communicated a lot in English and other languages.
The school Gospodorska Skola prepared a wonderful concert with songs, dances, presents and performances. Everybody enjoyed it very much. While the teachers were getting acquainted with the school educational system and traditions, they had also had an opportunity to take part in differnt workshops like clay and soap the school had prepared for them.
The first day of the meeting the school teachers and headmaster wholeheartedly welcomed all of us.They gave a brief meeting about their school and accompanied the participants while touring around the school.
After the school tour,Gospodorska Skola's teachers and students prepared us a short visit around the town.We couls see Cakovec town historical sights like Cakovec Museum and also the natural beauties which were very interesting and memorable.
In the afternoon,we watched the school the students' dance and song performance that they have prepared under the supervision of their teachers.This mini festival was amazing.The students' performances showed itself where traditional and conservative things are in harmony with modernity.After the students' performances,the school served us a delicious traditional buffet.
The second day of the meeting,the host school asked us to join the needlecraft-sewing workshoop under the supervision of their teachers.Everybody was very volunteer,also the male teachers :) The activity was highly enjoyable.
When the workshop finished,we went on our tours around the Cakovec.The next destination was Krapina (Neanderthal museum).This museum is the largest and most abundant collection of Neanderthal people collected at a single locality. The bones belong to the fossil remains of several dozen individuals, both male and female, from 2 to 40 years of age.
After the Neanderthal Museum visit, we start to our to Trakoscan Castle.The Castle has a valuable material from the Renaissance ,made from valuable collections of paintings and furnitures that present aristocratic life through history of Traskoscan and Draskovic family.The scenery of the castle and the view of the lake from the castle upper floor was far beyond the amazing.
The main points of the work on the "Connect,Share and Get Enlighted" project was summarized by the coordinator.The coordinator explained the completed works and the ongoing works in detail.The other coordinator teachers presented us the students works like their song performances.The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to talk, exchange views.The teachers also talked about the Online Newspaper that will be published next year.They discussed the possible headlines that the newspaper include.
When the meeting finished,the teachers were ready to join different workshops after a short break.The teacher were divided into two groups (clay and soap group) according to their preferances and interests.
When the works of the teacher were completed,we started our next trip another city the name of which is Varazdin.It is very near to Cakovec.The city is renowned with its city of angels, colourful and magical events with peaceful and serene streets.
The fourth day of the meeting started again the meeting of the coordinators.The teachers discussed the results of the questionnaire about the social media at the conference.The plan for further activities in the nearest future was introduced, and methods of project dissemination in particular partner schools were put forward.And also,the next year's meeting dates were fixed.
After the meeting,the teacher were ready to visit to Sv. Martin na Muri: Mill on the Mura.Before this destination we stopped at a deer farm.We had a chance to feed the deer on our own.The Wooden Mill on Mura River is a unique facility of traditional heritage of Croatia. The sound of water and working mill takes the visitors back.The first flour was grounded in this wooden mill.
The fifth day of the meeting the partners visited pumpkin seed oil factory, fruit farm and cheese factory after talking about the details of the project and checking the last points.
Crotia meeting was a fascinating experience. We saw interesting sights, learned about their family life, schooling system, Crotian tradition, music and tasted delicious national cuisine. The atmosphere at the meeting was very peaceful.I would like to thank all of our partners being very respectful and friendly to each other.
